 | Kyiv Regional Council supported treatment of anglers, angered by the barbarous destruction of aquatic resources in reservoirs of the Kiev region. Fishing cooperatives are breaking the rules with impunity, exceed the catch quota of native fish species, they hide the actual catches. In support of this appeal in front of Kyiv Regional Council took place a peaceful demonstration of anglers demanding the prohibition of uncontrolled industrial fishing, in the framework of the Fishermen Community of Ukraine and the all-Ukrainian action "Poachers in the law - STOP!" |
 | President of Ukraine signed the Law № 3325-VI of 12.05.2011 amending the Law of Ukraine «About Wildlife».
We congratulate all honest fishermen of Ukraine with the adoption of total ban on production, sale and consumption and imports of poaching implements in Ukraine!
The bill № 6458-1 about strengthen measures to combat poaching was developed by Fishermen Comunity of Ukraine and Kyiv Ecological and Cultural Centre in association with MP of Ukraine Mykola Tomenko and supported by his colleagues A. Semynoha, V. Danilenko, A. Horoshkevych, J. Prokopchuk, V. Moysyk. |
 | Activists of the "Fishermen Comunnity of Ukraine" and Kiev Ecological and Cultural Center in an unusual way lobbying for the adoption of new environmental legislation: in a building of the Verkhovna Rada (pre-session hall) has been arranged "Exhibition of poaching equipment". The bill № 6458-1 from 19.11.2010 to amend the Law of Ukraine "On Fauna" (on the strengthening of measures to combat poaching) was considered the people's deputies today and was adopted as a basis for first reading. This bill, in the case of its further adoption, will lead to a complete ban on the import, manufacture, storage, sale and use of poaching equipment for getting animals and aquatic resources.

 | 02.06.2010 after prior agreement with the developers of the bill - Gromada Fishing trips in Ukraine and the Kiev Ecological and Cultural Center - in the Verkhovna Rada was registered by the new draft Law № 6458-1 «On Amendments to the Law" On Wildlife "(concerning the strengthening of measures against poaching). The purpose of adopting the draft Law is an urgent need for a legislative ban the manufacture, sale and use of poaching implements and a prohibition of entry into Ukraine traps, synthetic nets and electric rods used solely for the purpose of poaching. |

Tomenko and a number of People's Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. |
Introduced criminal liability for fishing with electric rods and explosives! (16.02.2010)
 | Parliament of Ukraine has established criminal liability for illegal fishing activities, namely, fishing using explosives, poisons, and electric shocks. Such proposals for the law "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine on hunting ground, hunting and fishing, protection, use and reproduction of the animal world", introduced with the support of AFPA "Fishermen Community of Ukraine" by people's deputy Mykola Tomenko. |
